Happy New Year !

I'd like to wish you all a very happy new year 2006 !

I celebrated New Year's Eve with a lot of friends. First we had some pizza at my house and then we went dancing. It was a pretty nice night and we stayed till 5 o'clock in the morning.

One of the most funny events happened closely after midnight when we embraced each other and wished each other a happy new year, my best friend lost her top. She started to realize that she was only in a bra when we started laughing. But like I said to her, there were girls who wore even less on purpose. First she was a little shocked but afterwards she had a good laugh herself.

On January the 1st I only managed to get from my bed to the couch and watched TV the whole day. But I definetly needed some relaxing after that night. 

Hardware Problems

Our DvD drive hasn't been running for days and today my sister and I went to buy a new one.

It was the first time I opened my PC and changed a component. But despite my fearful thoughts everything went pretty smooth.  And because I was working at the computer already I installed the new modem/router as well. And now we have very fast DSL power!   COOL

Tomorrow, I think I'll do some shopping. I might buy some new fancy clothes for New Year's Eve.  I'll even have a pair of shoes. Heaven for me as a shoe addict.

First Entry

Finally, I have decided to publish a weblog too.

I questioned myself about writing it in English or in German, but I chose English as my second language. So I have the chance to do active writing in English.

First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. As you might have realized, my name is Alexandra. I'm 21 years old and I'm studing Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Lübeck. At the moment I'm in my thrid semester.

During my free time I like playing the guitar, reading, swimming or working with the computer.

I hope I make entrys continiously and not only once a month.

Now I'm off, because I have to prepare some food for a party this evening.
